Global Running Day 2018: As It's Happening
On Wednesday, June 6, people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds came together in celebration of Global Running Day. Here in NYC, we observed New York Road Runners' 60th anniversary with pop-up finish line celebrations throughout the five boroughs. The IAAF, the governing body of the sport, is participating in Global Running Day 2018 with IAAF Run 24:1, a series of 24 one-mile runs held in cities across the world. The opening event was held at a primary school in Auckland and welcomed more than 600 students!
