More than 28,000 runners—a record number—conquered the 2024 RBC Brooklyn Half in the event's 42nd running, making the race the largest half marathon in the country in 2024. Congratulations to all finishers in addition to top finishers Ryan Cutter of Brooklyn Track Club (men), Olympian Kim Conley (women), and S.C. Ferral of Brooklyn Track Club (non-binary).
Runners celebrated the Brooklyn way by touring the iconic borough from Prospect Park to the Coney Island boardwalk. The course takes in the unique and diverse neighborhoods, beginning at the Brooklyn Museum, passing Grand Army Plaza, and running through Prospect Park and along Ocean Parkway to a celebratory finish on the Coney Island boardwalk.

Over 26,000 runners are expected to hit the streets of Brooklyn at the RBC Brooklyn Half on Saturday, May 18. In the days leading up to the race and on race day, NYRR will be rolling out sustainability efforts that will help minimize the environmental impact of one of the largest half marathons in the country.
Two runners with strong ties to Brooklyn, like many others in the 26,000-runner field, have overcome challenges and drawn on community connections to be a part of this year’s race.
Based on their outstanding 2023 performances, runners were nominated for awards that were presented at NYRR Youth Awards Night. These runners’ incredible achievements were celebrated as we honored the best of the New York City youth running community.
