Racing the Staten Island Half? Run with the New-Look NYRR Pace Team
Runners lining up in their corrals at the NYRR Staten Island Half will be greeted by the sight of a cool, new-look pace team.
NYRR’s beloved pace team motivates, pushes, and—most importantly—keeps our runners on track to achieve their personal bests.
Ahead of the TCS New York City Marathon, the new-look NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze will debut in their new singlets this Sunday. Gone are the blue-and-white stripes, replaced by a cool, fresh design—inspired by Biofreeze’s products.
This will be the first official outing in the new singlets for the NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze, and the pacers will continue to wear the green, white, and blue colored singlets at races throughout the calendar year—including the TCS New York City Marathon—and into 2019.
Although the team has a new look, runners can still expect the same high-quality race experience from pacers, who are seasoned and reliable runners. As long as you keep the green and white in sight, you will remain on pace.
How do you find pacers? They will be in the corrals carrying signs with large numbers showing their finish times on one side and their pace per mile on the other side.
You do not need to register to run with the NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze, and there is no fee.
Biofreeze is the #1 clinically recommended topical pain reliever and the Official External Pain Reliever of NYRR. Biofreeze uses cryotherapy (“cold therapy”) to help delay the onset of muscle soreness as well as provide temporary relief from aches/pains. Biofreeze is fast-acting, long-lasting, and nearly twice as effective as ice.
Biofreeze is especially effective for runners since it can be used before, during, and after workouts. And it’s a great option for runners who want to be able to easily tackle their pain and soreness on their own.
