Race-Day Essentials: NYRR Staten Island Half
Race Date: Sunday, October 8
Start Time: 8:00 a.m.
It’s almost time to take on the last race in the Five-Borough Series: the NYRR Staten Island Half. Get familiar with these race-day logistics (you get to travel to the start by ferry!) to ensure a strong finish is your biggest concern come race day.
GET YOUR BIB—AND GET IT EARLY!
We're expecting about 10,000 runners on race day. Race-day bib pickup will be available in the Richmond County Ballpark stadium from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Bag check, located outside of the Richmond County Ballpark stadium on Richmond Terrace, will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you wish to check a bag, please allow additional time for that as well as security.
Runners must check their bags before entering the start corrals. All runners will be security screened before entering the start area.

Staten Island Ferry times recommended for each wave:
- Wave 1: 6:00 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 7:00 a.m.
- Wave 2: 6:30 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m.
WHICH WAVE AM I IN?
You will receive your wave and corral assignment in your confirmation email the week before the race:
- Wave 1: (corrals AA-F) starts at 8:00 a.m.
- Wave 2: (corrals G-L) starts at 8:30 a.m.
